Go Ahead and Pray for me - I won't be offended

Go ahead pray for me, pray for my healing I won't accuse you of being an ableist. I know your heart is in the right place, I won't respond with hate or even an insult as that doesn't help either of us.

But please realize that healing might not be God's plan for me, and thankfully I am never one to be insulted by your hopes for me. In all honesty I hate having Muscular Dystrophy and still hope for a cure for future generations.

So for me keep praying but don't forget along with prayer comes action, as you may also be able to help improve our quality of life by donating to Muscular Dystrophy charities or even supporting someone's GoFundMe as there's plenty of needs out there. I also suggest accepting us for who we are, realizing we are not broken and that this might be the plan for our life. Lastly, even if you unintentionally insult or offend me I will never respond with hate as everyone makes mistakes, best of all we can all learn from them. I also fully understand nobody is perfect.

For those who don't believe in prayer - you do know that you are completely free to decline someone praying for you. Just realize they have good intentions and don't deserve to be mistreated or run over by your wheelchair - even though you might be tempted to - don't do it! 😉
