Since 2010 I have joined my local Walk for Muscular Dystrophy. A great community event where local families & individuals affected by Muscular Dystrophy can join together. Funds raised benefit Muscular Dystrophy Canada. In 2013 my team had it’s most successful year raising $2,243 in support of the Durham Region Walk for Muscular Dystrophy. A true highlight of this Walk was that my good friend Brad was able to join our team.

In 2014 I had the honor of being selected as the Durham Region Walk for Muscular Dystrophy Ambassador. It was my teams fifth year joining together in support of the Walk for Muscular Dystrophy and it meant so much to me to be surrounded by my family and friends including Sanjin on such a beautiful day. Best of all our team was able to raise over $1400 in support of Muscular Dystrophy Canada. Also we were lucky enough to win the Team Spirit Award. Making it another year to remember!

In 2015 the Durham Region Walk for Muscular Dystrophy was another huge success. Again it was another great day spent together with family and friends. It was also our first year wearing our LAPS4MD shirts to help raise awareness of my efforts with Laps for Muscular Dystrophy.

In 2016 we joined the Durham Region Walk for Muscular Dystrophy now going by the name of Team LAPS4MD. This year we were able to raise just over $1000 in support of Muscular Dystrophy Canada. Best of all LAPS4MD supporters Canada’s Best racing Team along with Joey McColm who brought out one of his race cars to be displayed at the Durham Region Walk for Muscular Dystrophy.

Over the next few years LAPS4MD supporter Robb Murray brought his race cars to be displayed at the Durham Region Walk for Muscular Dystrophy. Again a huge hit with walk attendees.
